happy at the edge of the world

In August, 2021, I moved to the remote Westfjords of Iceland to pursue a master’s in marine and coastal management at Háskólasetur Vestfjarða (The University Centre of the Westfjords). The University Centre is my current academic affiliation, from 2021-23 I lived in Ísafjörður.

In addition to being the perfect academic environment for me to explore my research interests, Ísafjörður is a stunning natural environment, and a welcoming, close-knit community.

The following images capture moments from living in the Westfjords that filled me with joy.
